Our Offerings
Here at EverWild, we understand that no two homeschooling pathways are the same, and with this foundational understanding, we seek to offer a wide variety of enriching experiences for families to choose from.
Some children may be seeking more social and emotional experiences, while others may adore the structure of a more organized session. We do not require any form of participation in activities if the activity does not resonate with your family.
Below you will find a brief introduction to our clubs and offerings, as well as our monthly calendar.
Nature Play
Nature Play provides weekly opportunities for unstructured hands-on nature exploration and mixed aged outdoor play, encouraging creativity, curiosity, connection with the natural world, development of physical and emotional skills, social connections, and so much more.. We meet weekly at various parks in and around the Chesterfield and Tri-Cities area, participants have the freedom to roam and discover their environment or take advantage of various games, crafts, or other activities offered. A change of clothes, water, and snacks and/or packed lunch to fuel the fun-filled day are recommended. (All Ages Welcome)
Book Club
Everwild’s Book Club offers a dynamic and enriching literary experience. Together we'll explore various themes and genres through a diverse collection of books. Students will gain unique perspectives and insights while engaging in discussions on themes, literary elements, characters, and engaging in creative activities to truly connect them to the stories.
Poetry Tea Time
Grab a cozy blanket, a treat, and a favorite tea cup, as we explore the beauty of language and the imagery of poetry. In this warm and inviting space children are empowered to express themselves through the art of poetry, cultivating a love for language and self expression. Honing valuable skills like public speaking, communication, exploring perspectives, and creativity, kids are invited to create their own poetry, read a favorite poem, create imagery, or simply listen and absorb. Through guided activities and open discussions students will delve into various poetic forms, themes and techniques. (appropriate for all ages)
Moon Club
Moon Club offers an enriching experience for children to delve into the wonders of the lunar cycle and nurture a sense of wonder, inspiring young (and old!) minds to explore the mysteries of the night sky. Through engaging activities, discussion, and immersive full moon phenology hikes, kids explore the various phases of the moon, its significance, and its influence on Earth. From crafting moon-themed projects to setting intentions aligned with lunar cycles, families embark on a journey of discovery and self-reflection.
Jr. Naturalists
Bring your binoculars, a snack and your curious minds! Our Jr. Naturalists club is a monthly hike designed to hone in on the specifics of species identification for animals, plants and all forms of wildlife. This hike will require that we tiptoe quietly through the forest to better give ourselves an opportunity to witness nature unfolding in the silence. (Recommended Ages: 8+)
Art Exploration
The Art Club offers homeschoolers a creative space to explore self-expression and connect with the world around them through nature-inspired art. By using various mediums and techniques, children will reflect on their inner selves while deepening their connection to the beauty of the natural world. This heart-centered approach encourages mindfulness, self-discovery, and a greater understanding of their place in the world.
Zoology
The Zoology Club is a hands-on, heart-centered exploration of the animal kingdom, tailored for young nature enthusiasts in our homeschooling cooperative. Through interactive lessons, outdoor adventures, and creative activities, children will connect deeply with the wonders of wildlife, learning about diverse species, their habitats, and roles in nature. This nurturing environment encourages curiosity, compassion, and a profound respect for all living beings while fostering a sense of stewardship for the planet. Perfect for homeschoolers eager to engage with nature in a meaningful and joyful way!
Community Builders
In alignment with the mission and vision of EverWild, Community Builders empowers children to become agents of positive change in their communities by engaging in meaningful service projects. Through hands-on experiences, participants witness the impact of their actions as they address pressing needs in their local area. Children learn the value of compassion, empathy, and social responsibility as they work together to make a difference in the lives of others through diverse and impactful opportunities. Community Builders instills a sense of purpose and civic engagement in young hearts, fostering a generation of compassionate leaders committed to creating a better world for all. (All ages welcome)
Geography + Culture
The Geography + Culture Club encourages homeschoolers to explore the world by choosing a region to create interactive lessons. By immersing in diverse landscapes, traditions, and cultures, children will not only gain a deeper understanding of other communities but also reflect on their own place in the world. This exploration helps foster self-awareness, empathy, and a broader perspective, empowering them to understand their role in a globally connected and interdependent world.
