EverWild Homeschool Cooperative

Frequently Asked Questions

Can siblings attend, and what is the age range for the group?

Yes, siblings are always welcome. We'll provide supplies to help keep little ones engaged, but availability may vary based on the activity.

What areas do you serve?

We serve Southern Chesterfield and Tri-Cities areas (Petersburg, Hopewell, and Colonial Heights), exploring the Greater Richmond area during our adventures.

Are you a faith based cooperative?

EverWild is a faith-neutral community, meaning we honor and respect the diverse beliefs and spiritual practices of our families while not aligning with any particular faith tradition. We welcome opportunities to learn from and celebrate different traditions through the lens of our core values: love, authenticity, inquiry, nature, and community.

Above all, we value kindness, respect, and openness in all interactions. Our goal is to create a space where every family feels safe, seen, and valued, no matter their background or beliefs. We ask that any expressions of faith within our community reflect these shared values and contribute to a spirit of mutual understanding and connection.

Attendance Requirements:

Do you have an attendance policy?

At EverWild, we believe in being a positive, life-giving presence in the lives of families, not a source of stress or obligation. Because of this, we do not have a strict attendance policy. We understand that life ebbs and flows, and we honor the unique rhythms of each family. However, in the spirit of our cooperative model, we kindly ask that families utilize our RSVP system thoughtfully and respectfully. This helps our facilitators prepare the appropriate amount of supplies and allocate resources in a way that benefits everyone. By working together with intention and mutual respect, we ensure that EverWild remains a space of abundance, connection, and joy for all.

Wellness Policy:

We trust parents and caregivers to help keep our community safe and healthy. If you or your child are symptomatic, we ask that you use your best judgment to keep the community safe and well. Please note, when visiting facilities for events or field trips the group may be asked to follow wellness procedures set forth by the facility. We ask members to follow any establishment’s rules respectfully.

Parent/Guide Involvement and Expectations:

At Everwild, we value and encourage unstructured free play. Parents are expected to check in regularly with their children. Guides must be present during meet-ups and are expected to assist in guiding their child through activities and conflict resolution when needed.
