EverWild Homeschool Cooperative
Frequently Asked Questions
Can siblings attend, and what is the age range for the group?
Yes, siblings are always welcome. We'll provide supplies to help keep little ones engaged, but availability may vary based on the activity.
What areas do you serve?
We serve Southern Chesterfield and Tri-Cities areas (Petersburg, Hopewell, and Colonial Heights), exploring the Greater Richmond area during our adventures.
Are you a faith based cooperative?
We recognize that faith based practices can look different for every family so in an effort to remain respectfully welcoming, we are a faith neutral group. We view all practices through the lens of our core values and would love to learn and celebrate alongside our families with those values as the guiding framework.
Attendance Requirements:
Attend 50% of meet-ups and events per semester (excluding clubs). A future transition to a fee-based co-op with potential scholarship opportunities for those in need.
Wellness Policy:
We trust parents and caregivers to help keep our community safe and healthy. If you or your child are symptomatic we ask that you use your best judgment in what will keep the community as a whole safe and well. Please note when visiting facilities for events or field trips the group may be asked to follow wellness procedures set forth by the facility. We ask members to respectfully follow any establishment’s rules.
Parent/Guide Involvement and Expectations:
At Everwild, we value and encourage unstructured free play. Parents are expected to check in regularly with their children. Guides must be present during meet-ups and are expected to assist in guiding their child through activities and conflict resolution when needed.
